Discord Quests Not Showing or Tracking? Start Here

Fix Discord Quests that are missing, stuck at zero, or complete without a reward. Check eligibility, device support, tracking, and claims in the right order.

Your friend has a Quest you cannot find. Or you have been playing for half an hour and the progress bar still says zero. Before spending another evening trying random fixes, work out where the process stopped: finding the Quest, completing it, or claiming the reward.

Those are different problems. Start with the matching row below, then make one change at a time. Keep the Quest card open so you can compare what it asks for with what you actually did.

The cover is an original illustration, not a screenshot of Discord or a currently available reward. Official guidance checked September 27, 2026.

Find Your Problem First

What you see First check What to record
No Quest card Open Quest Home and look for eligibility or deadline information Whether all Quests are missing or only one
Card appears, but you cannot start Read the message next to the unavailable button Exact wording and any countdown
Activity started, progress stays at zero Compare the task, account, and device with the card Starting progress and time
Progress stopped partway through Identify what changed just before it stopped Disconnection, app switch, or game restart
Quest is complete, reward is missing Check the claim step and reward type Claimed status and any error

Take a screenshot before restarting anything. It gives you a baseline and saves you from trying to remember whether the counter ever moved.

Here is a useful distinction: “I cannot find the Quest” is an availability question. “I accepted it, but progress never changes” is a tracking question. A fix for one does not establish the cause of the other.

If Discord Quests Are Not Showing

Check Discover > Quests on desktop or Settings > Quest on mobile. Availability depends on region, platform, and campaign dates; mobile supports selected Quests. Hidden promotions remain accessible through Quest Home. See Discord’s Quests FAQ.

Compare the same named campaign, rather than comparing how many cards you and a friend can see. Ask for the Quest name and its deadline, then look for those details in your own account. A screenshot from last week is not evidence that the campaign is still open today.

Make a short note of your device, Discord client, and the message on the page. If you have access to another supported client, checking the same account there can help narrow the problem. That is a diagnostic comparison, not a promise that changing devices will unlock an unavailable offer.

Daily cap: ages 13–17 get three completions, then a 24-hour cooldown from the third completion. Completed rewards remain claimable. Follow the displayed timer.

When only one campaign is missing, focus on that campaign’s conditions. When the whole page fails to load, save the error and check Discord Status for a relevant incident. A normal status page does not rule out an account-specific problem, but it helps you avoid unnecessary troubleshooting during a reported outage.

If Quest Progress Is Stuck at Zero

Restart and update Discord. Playtime requires desktop; streaming requires a friend watching in voice; video pauses on window switches. Linked-game actions can take 36 hours to process. Linux rewards and Meta VR Quests are unsupported. Check the official requirements against your card.

Use the following as a troubleshooting worksheet, rather than changing every setting at once:

  1. Record the requirement. Copy the task wording, game name, supported platform, and deadline into a note.
  2. Check the account. Compare the account shown in Discord with the one associated with any game connection the campaign requests.
  3. Record the starting state. Note whether you have accepted the Quest and the progress currently displayed.
  4. Try one controlled attempt. Follow the card exactly after the app update or restart, then check the counter again.
  5. Keep the result. Write down what changed and what stayed the same. Avoid repeating a long activity without a new reason to expect a different result.

For example, suppose the counter remains at zero after an app restart. Your next useful observation is whether Discord sees the intended game or whether you are using the account named in the campaign. Another hour of unexplained zero progress gives you less information than those two checks.

The processing delay above applies to the linked-game action type. It should not become a blanket instruction to ignore every Quest error for 36 hours. Save evidence promptly if a deadline is approaching.

Check Streaming and Cloud Play Separately

For a streaming task, first establish that you can broadcast the intended game. Discord’s Go Live instructions explain how to join a voice channel, select the game application, and start the stream. The client needs to recognize the game; Discord also documents adding an unrecognized game through its activity settings.

Ask your viewer to describe what they see. A game launcher, a black window, and the actual game are useful differences to record. Keep the Quest requirement beside you while checking the stream, because a working broadcast alone does not prove that the campaign has counted it.

If the picture works but your friend cannot hear the game, our Discord screen share audio guide handles that separate issue. Change audio settings to resolve an audio problem, rather than treating them as an unexplained fix for reward eligibility.

Cloud Play has its own flow. Discord’s Cloud Play documentation says these experimental Quests launch a streamed game inside Discord. Completion requires the desktop app. Finish the publisher sign-in; if the session loses its connection, reconnect. For stalled progress, verify the game account and playtime, then try restarting the game session.

Record the point where Cloud Play stops: before publisher sign-in, during launch, or after you enter the game. That makes a support request much more useful than “Cloud Play is broken.” You can also separate a failed login from a session that launches successfully but does not record the task.

Quest Complete, but No Orbs or Decoration?

Claim the completed reward: Discord items enter your account, while partner rewards may provide codes. Follow Discord’s claim instructions.

Write down exactly what the reward is called. “My reward is missing” leaves several possibilities open; “the card says claimed, but my balance is unchanged” identifies a much narrower problem.

For Orbs, compare your balance in Quest Home or the Shop. They are tied to the account that earned them, so check the same account throughout. Our Discord Orbs guide explains the balance and spending side; the official Orbs FAQ provides Discord’s support route.

For a cosmetic, check its collection and any expiry label. The free Discord decorations guide walks through choosing a reward and applying it. Avoid spending on a replacement while you are still trying to establish whether the first item was claimed.

Send Support Evidence They Can Use

If the card’s requirements appear satisfied and the problem remains, use Discord’s official support form. Here is a template you can adapt:

Quest name:
Device and operating system:
Discord client and version:
Task shown on the Quest card:
Accepted at (date, time, timezone):
Progress before and after the attempt:
Reward claim status or exact error:
Relevant deadline shown:
Steps already tried and their results:
Screenshots attached:

Crop screenshots to the relevant panel and hide private conversations. Include timestamps with a timezone, especially when a campaign is close to ending. Describe observations separately from your guess about the cause: “progress stopped after reconnecting” is more useful than declaring that the account is permanently broken.

Keep one record of the issue so you can add new evidence without losing the original details. For account protection while seeking help, our gamer account safety guide covers common traps around reward claims.

Your next step should answer one specific question: Is this Quest available to my account, is the required activity being counted, or has the reward been claimed? Once you know that, you can spend your time on the relevant fix instead of restarting the entire process.
